I know, I have been missing in actions for some time now, but the truth to the matter is that I have been traveling way too much for work without having time to pause and to live/love life, not to mentioned that the Singapore Arms Force decided that they wanted ME of all the men in this country to be back for 2 weeks of In-Camp Training (ICT) and try to play soldiers, probably maybe also learn defend our beloved country in doggie style since we are all dogs now according to the our most treasured NUS scholar, Sun Xu aka Mr. Know-It-All.
Just in case, you started worrying that we will be a national threat/disaster when boys are given guns to play with, be reassured that your concerns are unfounded except that I mistakenly fell into a swamp in Lim Chun Kang hill of all places and now infamously known to my platoon mates as "POND STAR", other than that please be informed that we only spend 2 to 5 hours rushing or pretending to be active so that we can spend the rest of the time most productivity by sleeping, eating, sleeping, yanking, sleeping, and some more sleeping.
Anyhow, to all my Korean fans out there 당신을 사랑합니다 and please love me back too.
On one particular windy and cool weekend night, me with my better half and some friends decided to go to this Korean BBQ joint that I have been introduced some years ago, however despite the number of years of lunching there, I must admit that this was my first "virgin" night visit ever, so excited I was a little like a kid in a candy shop.
Ju Shin Jung Korean Charcoal Restaurant is situated at Yess Center along West Coast Highway which if not mistakenly is one of the shortest highway in Singapore and with a frightening speed limit of 60 km/hr.
Charcoal ME any time, any day |
Need a bigger table ? |
So what did we eat ? We decided to start with a Korean pizza or officially known as Pan cakes, to me personally, this was just okay, nothing unusually and chances that pizzas will taste better, which seldom disappoints.
Tell me that this doesn't look like a pizza? |
Fishy Fishy, come to Daddy |
Mind you, according to him, these pig only eat fruits hence their meat is suppose to be the most tasty and juicy meat that one can find in the market, however personally I did not like it as much as the other pork meat that they were serving which is also half the price, anyhow I think everyone should take a look at how these pork look like and you tell me if these prime pork meats look any better.
Prime Pork Meet, I am not impress though |
Don't judge it by its look, cos it taste better than its look |
Verdict Out of Five (5*):
- Quality of Food: 3 (It could have secured a 3.5 if not for the prime pork and pan cake)
- Ambiances: 2.5 (Smokey, and they thought by banning smoking cigarettes would help)
- Audiences: 3 (Mostly locals, maybe if you are lucky you will bump into a Korean Porn Star)
- Price: 2 (Definitely, not the cheapest or money worth place to dine, considering how much more they charged for dinner as compared to their lunch menu)
- Services: 2 (The servers most be ninja for they appear and disappear most of the time)
- Hygiene: 3 (Looks clean enough and nothing much to complain from what I see on the outside)
$180.10, Really ? |
